The assembly is very simple:
The tarp is placed last, once the planter mounted: arrange it at the bottom of the tray. Choose it large enough to reach the edges of the vegetable patch.
How to organize your mini garden above ground?
Step 1: Fill with soil
Start by filling your garden with soil enriched with compost, which you will find in a garden centre in the Garden department of a large area.
Step 2: Create Ranks or Locations
Organize the 16 or 9 spaces, or the rows with small bamboo sticks or simple pieces of string stretched from one board to another.
Step 3: Choose your plants or vegetables
Alternate root vegetables such as radishes, or carrots, leafy vegetables such as lettuce or leeks, and fruit vegetables such as tomatoes or peppers. Also think of aromatic herbs. Be sure to combine vegetables that go well together (see table).
You can also bet on strawberries!
Step 4: Plant
Respect the planting dates of each plant or vegetable.
For ease, place the tallest plants in the center.
The quantities to be respected
Obviously, the size of your garden is limited: this mini planter allows you to grow a few fruits and vegetables but not in large quantities.
Remember to limit your seedlings, especially taking into account the needs of each plant.
GARDENING TRICK
You can also raise your mini garden by fixing the base on 4 wide feet: very convenient especially for people with back pain or knee problems, The high planter prevents you from having to constantly bend down to work the land or harvest your fruits and vegetables. You can also choose to make a vegetable garden at child’s height. It is a fun and educational practice that allows to familiarize the little ones with the plants of the garden.
Even better, you can attach four large wheels under each of your feet to turn your planter into a mobile vegetable garden!
